They worked hard, and it showed. Their home was a display case for Sherle Wagner 24 karat gold bathroom fixtures, for Murano glass chandeliers, and custom built-ins and cabinetry. But they played hard, too. Every late night spent at the office crunching numbers and daring to push the company forward meant they could keep a Ferrari in their showroom, taking it out for long rides in the countryside when the seasons were warm and the flowers in bloom. Every hectic weekend spent on conference calls meant they could unplug for an evening with a quick game in the athletic court followed by good laughs and well-aged scotch in the indoor hot tub. And every week of early morning strategy meetings and keeping a careful eye on Wall Street meant vacations spent at home with friends and family and space to lounge, swim, run and then gather for an evening meal, chefs choice. So yes, they worked hard. They lived well. But time spent playing was their favorite of all.
